A PTA, with a less PTA-ish name
Small efforts. Big school days.
The Social Hub brings together parents, carers, staff and the wider Broadstone community to add the extras that make school memorable — and provide the essentials that stretched budgets simply cannot.
Sometimes that means funding desperately needed equipment. Sometimes it is helping a school show shine, filling the tuck shop, organising a disco or Key Stage 2 Christmas movie night, providing refreshments at open evening and sports days, or serving pizza and ice cream to Year 8 leavers. It all matters — and everything we raise is for the benefit of BMS pupils.
Why “The Social Hub”?Honestly? It was meant to sound more engaging than “the PTA”. Slightly random, perhaps. But it stuck — and now it stands for a community that gets things done.
What we make happen
The good stuff school budgets miss.
Every penny we raise is used for the benefit of BMS pupils — turning tickets, treats, volunteer shifts and donations into things they can use, enjoy or remember.
School discos
Music, mates and a properly good evening — planned and powered by volunteers.
The epic tuck shop
A pupil favourite and a regular little fundraiser with a surprisingly big impact.
Year 8 send-off
Pizza and ice cream for leavers, because four years at BMS deserves a delicious finish.
Events & experiences
Backing school shows, running the Key Stage 2 Christmas movie night, and providing refreshments at open evening and sports days.

Broadstone’s best-loved family fireworks event returns to BMS for its tenth year — a full evening of food, entertainment and a spectacular choreographed display set to music.

Run by Broadstone Middle School PTA in partnership with Broadstone First School. No personal fireworks, sparklers, lanterns or glass. On-site parking is limited to pre-booked disabled visitors.
You are already invited
Help in a way that works for you.
You do not have to join a committee or give up every evening. An hour, an idea, a contact or a ticket all moves things forward.
Give a little time
Help at a disco, serve at the tuck shop, set up an event or take one small job.
Play the school lottery
Tickets are £1 a week, with a guaranteed local winner and a £25,000 jackpot.
